Evil Doesn't Always Seem Evil.
Corruption doesn't always seem corrupt.
When most people think about corruption, they imagine someone taking a bribe, abusing public office, or openly breaking the law.
That isn’t how corruption usually works.
The most dangerous forms of corruption rarely announce themselves. They don’t look like villains committing obvious acts of evil. They look like ordinary people making perfectly reasonable decisions that, taken together, produce deeply harmful outcomes.
This is the mistake people make when judging morality.
They judge intentions.
They should judge consequences.
