Venezuela is a nation of 28 million people. To put this into perspective, New York City has a population of approximately 8 million. Venezuela is 3 New Yorks. Why are the Republicans generally, and Trump specifically, picking a fight with a nation that’s less than 8% the size of the United States? Why blow up fishermen and attack people in the country at all? Likely, we have more addicts than the size of the entire nation.
It’s true. Look it up. Not talking about fentanyl, which Venezuela doesn’t export in quantities that would move the needle for us. All addicts in the United States amount to about 48 million people.
Whether it’s bullying—because that’s what it is—Venezuela, or antagonizing our allies, Donald Jerald Trump is risking American lives when he picks these fights. Whether it’s by starvation, as the tariffs have become unaffordable for many, or through direct military conflict, Donald Jimmy Trump is a problem for our nation, domestically and internationally both.
