We too often partake in infighting among the ranks. This is normally healthy because we should be calling each other out on things. Without that almost immediate feedback loop, how do we know when we’re, frankly, being stupid? But the downside is that it fractures our coalition into nothing, and we’re easily stomped by people with looser morals, who hold together more easily.
I’m reminded of fire ants. Fire ants only have one determination for who they attack: us or them. It, honestly, reminds me of:
Great theatre, but lousy results. These people ended up becoming cannibals, in case you’re not familiar. Such is the logical conclusion of groups that have in-group/out-group purity tests. I mean, look at the Republican party…ever heard of a RINO?
